# Assembly Sessions

> Assembly Sessions is an AI advisory board platform. You submit a strategic challenge, choose an assembly of AI advisors, watch them debate in structured turns with a mid-session context question, and receive a typed, challenge-specific action plan. During beta, the platform is free when you bring your own API key from OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google.

## What this tool does

Assembly Sessions runs structured multi-perspective debates on complex challenges. Six advisors — selected by the system or chosen by you — argue, interrogate, and synthesise across two phases. A mid-debate pause asks the user (or agent) for critical context, then Phase 2 continues with that context baked in. The output is not a generic summary: the system classifies the challenge into one of eight types and generates a type-appropriate structured plan.

### Access (free during beta with your own AI key)

3. Add your API key — OpenAI (starts sk-), Anthropic (starts sk-ant-), or Google Gemini (starts AIza)
4. You now have unlimited access to the full platform at no cost

You pay only your AI provider for the tokens consumed. No credit card required. The key is encrypted at rest and never logged.

### Run a session

1. Go to https://assemblysessions.com/ and type your challenge
2. The system builds strategic context (~20 seconds)
3. Review the agenda — advisors are selected based on your challenge
4. Click "Start the session"
5. Watch 3 debate turns stream (~40 seconds)
6. Answer the mid-session question from one advisor
7. Watch 3 more debate turns (~30 seconds)
8. Receive your typed action plan

### Workspaces (for multi-session work)

Create a workspace at https://assemblysessions.com/workspaces with shared context (company, market, stage, constraints, goals). Every session within a workspace carries that context. Run multiple challenges — choosing different assemblies each time — to build a layered picture of a problem.

## The 6 assemblies

- **The Roundtable** — Balanced, diverse strategic voices. Good for general challenges.
- **The Prism** — De Bono's six thinking hats. Parallel thinking across facts, feelings, risks, optimism, creativity, and process.
- **The Workshop** — Dream, Build, Critique. Three-phase structure for developing new ideas.
- **The Compass** — Bolman & Deal's four frames (structural, human, political, symbolic). Good for organisational decisions.
- **The War Room** — Adversarial red teaming. One team argues for, one argues against. Surfaces blind spots fast.
- **The Boardroom** — CEO, CFO, CMO, CPO, CCO, CTO each weigh in from their function. Good for cross-functional business decisions.

## The 8 output types

The Architect classifies each challenge and generates a type-specific plan:

- **strategic-decision** → Decision Framework: options, case for/against, recommendation, key conditions
- **launch** → Launch Playbook: GTM thesis, three phases, early traction signals
- **growth** → Growth Architecture: primary lever, experiments to run, growth ceiling
- **problem-fix** → Diagnosis: root cause, symptom/cause distinction, fix sequence
- **creative** → Creative Brief: territory, tone, directions to explore
- **organizational** → Change Map: stakeholder groups, change sequence, resistance points
- **fundraising** → Investor Narrative: hook, traction signals, anticipated objections
- **general** → Strategic Framework: central tension, three scenarios, north star
