Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about Assembly Sessions, AI-powered strategic advisory, and how to get the most from your sessions.
Common questions, straight answers. If you don't see what you're looking for, the Getting Started guide walks through the whole process.
General
What is Assembly Sessions?
It's a tool that helps you think through tough business decisions. You describe what you're working on, AI advisors with different perspectives discuss it, and you get a report with their recommendations. Think of it like having a focused brainstorming session with people who see things differently than you do.
How is this different from just using ChatGPT?
Instead of one AI giving you one answer, you get multiple AI advisors who actually debate with each other. They challenge each other's assumptions, bring up things the others missed, and try to find common ground. Plus, we use frameworks like PESTLE to make sure we're covering political, economic, social, tech, legal, and environmental angles.
What kinds of challenges can Assembly Sessions help with?
Anything where you'd benefit from hearing different perspectives—market expansion, product decisions, organizational changes, tech investments, competitive strategy. If you're trying to think something through and want more angles to consider, it's probably a good fit.
Getting Started
How long does a typical session take?
About 10-15 minutes total. A few minutes to describe your challenge, a few more to answer some clarifying questions, and then the debate and report take another 5-7 minutes.
Do I need to create an account?
Nope, you can try it without signing up. But if you create an account, you can save your sessions and come back to them later.
What information should I prepare before starting?
Know what question you're trying to answer. Some context about your company helps too—what industry you're in, roughly how big you are, any constraints we should know about. Don't overthink it though; we'll ask follow-up questions.
AI Advisors
Who are the AI advisors?
They're AI personas we put together based on your specific challenge. You might get a risk analyst, a strategist, an industry specialist—whoever would have something useful to say about what you're working on.
Can I customize my advisor panel?
Yeah, once we suggest a panel you can tweak it before the discussion starts. Want more focus on risk? Swap someone out. Think we're missing an angle? Add it.
How do the advisors debate?
They take turns, respond to each other, push back on weak points, and try to build on good ideas. It's designed to surface disagreements (that's where the interesting stuff usually is) and then work toward useful conclusions.
Reports & Output
What does the executive report include?
A summary of the key points, analysis broken down by category, specific recommendations with the reasoning behind them, things to watch out for, and suggested next steps. It's meant to be something you can actually use—or share with your team.
Can I export or share reports?
Yes. You can export them, and if you're logged in, you can access your report history anytime.
How should I use the recommendations?
As a starting point, not the final word. They're meant to give you more to work with when you're making decisions—things to consider, angles you might have missed, structure for your team's discussion.
Privacy & Security
Is my business information kept confidential?
Yes. We don't share it with anyone or use it to train AI models. What you tell us stays between you and the platform.
How long is my data retained?
Depends on your account. Free users have limited history; registered users can access everything they've done. You can also delete your data if you want.
Something else on your mind?
Honestly, the best way to understand how it works is to try it. Pick a real question you're working on and run a session.
